How to tie a knot

This video shows not only a quick and easy knot tying method, but also how handy Handy® knives really are.

This is a Handy Knife®. You wear it on your finger like a ring and it's really useful for cutting twine or working with twine and string when you're bundling up items because you always have this knife blade ready whenever you're done with your knot. And then you can just with a swipe of your hand cut the knot and move on to the next knot. And I'll show you the knot I use when I'm working with the Handy Knife.

You can use the ring knife when you're working with twine to bundle up items and today I'm going to show you how to tie up a box, close up a box. And here I got some twine. Really cheap, $15 for over 4,500 feet of this. It's really handy. You put it on the ground, and I make sure I got a box. I got it upside-down so you can see the knot better.

So you need to grab some twine out of the box. I wrap it around twice. You can do it just once if you want to, I like to wrap it around twice. And you wrap the tag end around, pull it through and you just tighten the knot up like this. Cinch it all up nice and tight, and then you want to lock it in with a quick release and you cut it with your twine knife. 

So now if you pull this tag end right here the knot will come undone and you just pull the twine apart. And I'll show you again on the other side right here.

So go ahead, take the twine, wrap it around twice. Ok, then I'll do a close-up on the knot. 

You got this side, that's attached to the box of twine. And you got this tag end, that's the end of the twine. You take that and you just wrap it around the line going to the box, like that. And then you bring the tag end and just wrap it around the two lnes going around the box and pull it tight. The n you grab this line and start pulling on it, sometimes it helps to pull on both the lines. 

Get it nice and tight and then to lock it in you just wrap the long line around your fingers and grab the tag end and pull it. You cut it with your ring knife and you're done! This is your quick release right here, you pull this and your knot will come undone.
